This was a condition that the U.S. had stated would be a significant gesture of goodwill ahead of a Trump-Kim summit. A date and place for the summit has been set but the details have not been released. * Kilauea Volcano, Hawaii: 2 new fissures opened up making the total 14. 36 structures including 26 homes have been destroyed and lava now covers 104 acres. High allergy alert from grass, no allergy alert for weeds * Today and Tuesday temps will be upper 70s. Wednesday they drop to lower 70s. Thursday they climb again getting us to mid-80s by Saturday. No precipitation in the forecast. - Ring of Fire * 2.6 (x2) N of Cabazon, CA. 6.0 SSW of Kokopo, Papua New Guinea. - Civil Unrest/ Terrorism * Damascus, Syria: A bomb blast as well as 3-4 artillery shells fired by insurgents into the center of Damascus killed 4 and wounded 24. The shells are believed to have been fired by ISIS fighters. * Kabul, Afghanistan: ISIS claimed responsibility for an attack on a Police compound in the Afghan capital. Gunmen set off at least three explosions and then battled police, driving them from buildings they occupied. Casualties are not clear at the moment but reports of up to 6 dead, including police officers and additional wounded have started to surface. * Syria: Information is coming out that Israel has launched airstrikes against Iranian targets in Syria, south of Damascus. The Israelis generally do not speak about or confirm military actions so this is information that is being reported from groups on the ground in the region. It appears that Israeli jets targeted industrial buildings and convoys of Iranian forces. They also attempted to expose SAA sites and eliminated some of them as well. In eastern Syria, coalition militia including SDF forces engages in multiple heavy engagements with ISIS forces.
