The first is Undersheriff John Hirokawa who is running against her for Sheriff. Hirokawa claims that Smith removed a potentially damaging tape during an internal affairs investigation involving her. Judge La Doris Cordell also wants Smith to resign in regards to a report that is supposed to define corrections after inmate Michael Tyree was beaten to death by jail deputies and other complaints about the jail. * Mexican/ U.S. Border: President Trump has ordered the National Guard and military to the border. This is not the first time and in fact President Obama also did this once.
