* Trebes, France: A gunman claiming allegiance to ISIS has been killed after taking hostages in a supermarket in this town in the south of France. 2 of the hostages in the market were killed by the gunman and another individual earlier when the gunman carjacked the victim. A French police officer has also been seriously wounded after offering to switch places with a hostage. The officer was able to leave his cell phone on, allowing police and special terrorist response forces outside to have a better idea of what was happening inside the market. Praise the heroes in our world because we have to few. * Tuolumne County, CA: -UPDATE- Officials have reduced the threat from “imminent failure” to “potential failure. The dam’s flood waters will be contained in the Don Pedro Reservoir which sits a mile downstream. –END UPDATE- “Moccasin Dam is on verge of bursting. Some evacuations have been issued. If you are in this area check with local authorities and be aware of the situation. * Washington, DC: -UPDATE- President Trump is threatening to veto the $1.3 trillion spending bill passed by Congress. The President cites a lack of funding for the border wall, no solution for DACA as some of the reasons. If vetoed this could lead to a government shutdown until resolved. Congress could override the veto but would need a 2/3s vote in both the House and the Senate. –END UPDATE- The House has approved a $1.3 trillion spending bill. It is a bi-partisan bill but it is unlikely that those that voted for it even read it much less are fully informed on what is in it since it is 2,232 pages and they had only hours to read it prior to voting. The bill increases military spending but contains no fix for DACA. This is a bill that significantly increases the debt and deficit. It barely funds items such as the border wall but does fund sanctuary cities, Planned Parenthood and restricts 2nd Amendment rights according to Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio.
