01/18/18 - 1027hrs Daily report, California State Militia

* Harrisburg, PA: A U.S. Marshal was shot and killed while serving an arrest warrant. Two other officers were also shot. One of the wounded officers was able to return fire and critically injure the gunman. One of the wounded officers has non-life-threatening injuries, it is not clear the condition of the other wounded officer or the suspect. Prayers for the families and friends of the lost U.S. Marshal and prayers for the fast and full recovery of the two wounded officers. * National: You would think that this would be common sense…BUT… If you have children/ teens you might want to inform them not to eat laundry detergent pods…even on a dare or challenge. For young children these might appear to be candy so educating them early is a good idea. For the teens that are doing this because of a youtube “challenge”… well it’s hard not to claim “Darwin award”… but to be fair… I was stupid when I was a teenager too…not that stupid… but you get the idea. * Washington, DC: A government shutdown is looming again…I mean seriously?...<sigh> -Warnings/ Advisories (NOAA) * Dense Fog Advisory: East-Central San Joaquin Valley; Southeastern San Joaquin Valley; Southwestern San Joaquin Valley; West-Central San Joaquin Valley, * Winter Weather Advisory: Cuyama Valley, Los Angeles County Mountains excluding the Santa Monica Range; Santa Barbara County Mountains; Ventura County Mountains, Lassen-Eastern Plumas-Eastern Sierra Counties, Mono, Mountains Southwestern Shasta County to Northern Lake County; Shasta Lake Area, Northern Shasta County, Del Norte Interior, Northern Humboldt Interior; Southern Humboldt Interior, Northern Trinity; Southern Trinity, Western Siskiyou County, Sierra Nevada from Yosemite to Kings Canyon, San Bernardino County Mountains, Riverside County Mountains; San Diego County Mountains, * Winter Storm Warning: Greater Lake Tahoe Area, West Slope Northern Sierra Nevada; Western Plumas County, Lassen Park, * Lake Wind Advisory: Greater Lake Tahoe Area * High Wind Warning: Mono, * High Surf Warning: Coastal Del Norte; Mendocino Coast; Northern Humboldt Coast; Southwestern Humboldt, Coastal North Bay Including Point Reyes National Seashore; San Francisco; San Francisco Peninsula Coast, Northern Monterey Bay; Southern Monterey Bay and Big Sur Coast, * Avalanche Watch: Greater Lake Tahoe Area * Beach Hazards Statement: - An extended period of high surf will affect west and northwest facing beaches through Saturday evening - Santa Barbara County South Coast -Weather (South Bay/ San Jose) * Sunrise - 0720hrs. This is in response to a much more aggressive Russia. - CA Firearms Laws: * Same tyranny as yesterday …It’s going to get worse… * Thought of the day: California gun laws… have you seen what you have to do if you want to go featureless? Oh sure, you could just “register” your rifle. Because we are supposed to trust the most anti-constitutional state government in the Republic not to abuse that right? So they are banning the bullet button. That dumb-ass contraption that makes it impossible to use the semi-auto firearm of your choice the way it was safely engineered to work. Instead you have to have some type of tool, like a bullet tip to actually get it to work. Ever try to run a tactical course with that? Because yes, you will have to reload because they have banned standard magazine sizes of 20 or 30 rnds or the non-standard over 30… and told us that 10 was “standard” and acceptable. Please note that the police still carry standard magazines for pistols and rifles that hold more than 10 rounds. If you ever take a tactical pistol course taught by a police officer they will (if truthful) tell you that 10 rnds is not a safe amount to carry and you will want extra magazines (not clips). But wait…today was about featureless… that set up that means two awesome things. 1) you do not have to register your rifle…yet. 2) You can use a standard, factory installed and designed magazine release. Well hallelujah doesn’t that solve all of our gun woes here in California? No, not in the least, in fact, yes that is a solution… a solution that makes the rifle more dangerous for the user because you are negating the pistol grip and forcing the user to find a grip that is less stable, secure and frankly not natural. Cue the angry replies about how featureless is so much better than a mag lock/ breech system or how if you look at it a certain way these “fins” are actually OK… BULLSHIT. So you are telling me, Mr. and Mrs. Featureless that if the stupid ban were null and void today you would keep your featureless config? I highly doubt it or flat stocks with no thumbhole would be offered as standard on rifles of this type. Look, I’m not saying it isn’t a solution for the laws that are coming out… but how much more? How many more times are we going to allow a state government that is clearly out of bounds with the Constitution to make us more uncomfortable, more unsafe and frankly take away our right to defend ourselves and our loved ones? Please don’t say you are ready to go as soon as someone says it’s time. I was at the last 2A rally in Sacramento… there weren’t enough people there to cause a ripple of concern in the body politic of Kaliforna. The ones who were there were patriots though. Wake up! There are 8 million gun owners in California? How the hell are we losing our rights? So you are doing something? You are voting you are signing petitions…good! Go find that lazy ass friend who owns guns but isn’t doing shit and give them a kick in the ass. We need to stop this folks, not the next ban, not the next regulation, not the next election… now.
