* California/ National: The flu is no joke. 42 people under the age of 65 have died from the flu in California, 19 in the Bay area. This includes the numerous drills the public is aware of and the dusting off of military strategy behind the scenes. That strategy of large-scale war had been replaced for the last 15 years by low intensity conflicts like Afghanistan and Iraq. Next month the Pentagon is expected to shift more SF troops to the Korean peninsula for what may be the beginning of a Korea based task force similar to the ones fighting in Iraq and Syria. Additionally they may be part of an overall plan in regards to the safety of the Winter Olympics though the amount being sent would suggest that a larger operation is expected. * North Sea: The Royal Airforce intercepted 2 Russian strategic bombers as they approached UK airspace. The Russian aircraft had been monitored by a variety of friendly nation aircraft as they flew a 13hr training mission. Intercepts of Russian warplanes by NATO countries has been on the rise as Russia tries to re-establish its military might. - CA Firearms Laws: * Same tyranny as yesterday …It’s going to get worse… * Thought of the day: Socialism is the pathway to communism. This is not an old foe that no longer threatens America. It is an ever-evolving threat that even now has fully infiltrated the halls of academia and the passions of many of the younger generation. Why? It was repackaged, made to sound “sexy” again. Bernie Sanders goes on and on about its benefits and thus we have the rebranding and creation of Democratic socialism, the new economic savior ideology that will replace the corrupted capitalist market. The problem is that in reality, socialism is still a failed system that actually destroys the elements of individual freedom and puts authoritarian regimes into place. Venezuela is just one of the newest examples. Do not rest on your laurels, just like prejudice and extremist groups, we can give no quarter. There can be no acceptance of either corruption in our Republic or ideologies that will replace individual freedom and responsibility with government oversight and enforcement. Keep your head on a swivel and stay safe -DeltaWhiskey
