01/11/18 - 1027hrs Daily report, California State Militia

* CA tech: A report that has surfaced today claims that social media platform Twitter has been developing algorithms to suppress viewpoints. Interviews and quotes from Twitter engineers and former employees reveal that this technology is being developed almost specifically to target and silence conservative viewpoints, especially pro-Trump messages. Part of the technology is called “shadow banning” which does not let the user know they have been banned but prevents anyone from seeing their content so the user just thinks that no one is engaging them. It also came forward that people that were “content managers” had the freedom to ban based on ideology, not written rules. In fact many of the people interviewed admitted that these rules were not written but said. (Editorial) This is censorship, some of the most egregious that has been reported thus far. I don’t care about the political affiliation, for social media companies (because you know this will not be the only one) to create and follow a culture that believes that this is anywhere close to acceptable in our society, shows that they do not believe in “The American Way”. More info here: * Washington, DC: Senator Feinstein, who intentionally leaked information on the interview transcript with the co-founder of Fusion GPS, the firm behind the anti-Trump dossier, is now blaming that leak on a “…bad cold and maybe that slowed down my mental facilities a little bit,” * State Department: The State Department released a “do not travel” warning for five Mexican States (as well as for places like Syria, Yemen and Somalia). The reason for the Mexican States was stated as their being hotspots for drug cartel activities and murders. The five states are: Tamaulipas, Sinaloa, Colima, Michoacan and Guerroro. This is nothing new as the State Department has released warnings over the last couple of years in regards to dangerous areas of Mexico due to cartel violence. -Warnings/ Advisories (NOAA) * Beach hazards Statement: A long period northwest swell will move through the coastal waters into tonight - The National Weather Service in San Francisco has issued a Beach Hazards Statement for large shore break, dangerous rip currents, and sneaker waves which is in effect until 8 PM PST this evening. - Coastal North Bay Including Point Reyes National Seashore; Northern Monterey Bay; San Francisco; San Francisco Peninsula Coast; Southern Monterey Bay and Big Sur Coast * Dense Fog Advisory: East-Central San Joaquin Valley; Southeastern San Joaquin Valley; Southwestern San Joaquin Valley; West-Central San Joaquin Valley * Wind Advisory: Modoc County -Weather (South Bay/ San Jose) * Sunrise - 0722hrs. Sunset - 1710hrs. * Cloudy clearing to some sunshine later this afternoon * Highs hitting 61 - lows toward 47 * No Allergy Alert from Trees. No allergy alert from grass, none for weeds * Should have more and more sunshine each day heading into the weekend. Temperatures will get to lower 70s by Sunday. Going into next week the temperatures will cool again and chances of more rain come back Tuesday – Friday. - Ring of Fire * 3.1 E of Coalinga, CA. 5.1 SE of Hirara, Japan. 5.5 S of Fiji Islands. 5.0 NNE of Tilaran, Costa Rica. - Civil Unrest/ Terrorism * Afghanistan: A U.S. military soldier was wounded when insurgents launched an attack. The only details being given is that the soldier is in stable condition while wounded during an “active ground engagement.” * Northwestern Syria: The Syrian government offensive against insurgent groups in the northwestern territory of Syria has been slowed by a counter-offensive. * Northern Yemen: 14 people killed after Saudi led coalition airstrikes hit a marketplace in rebel-held northern Yemen. * Iran, Syria, Israel: Reports are surfacing that Iran has ordered Hezbollah (very influenced and controlled by Iran) and the Syrian army to take over the Israeli border region near the Golan Heights in order to prepare for the next phase in fighting. Israel has been hitting Iranian and Hezbollah positions inside Syria to prevent a consolidation of power. - CA Firearms Laws: * Same tyranny as yesterday …It’s going to get worse… * Senator Kamala Harris has been appointed to the Senate Judiciary Committee. This will have a profound and negative effect as this person has a complete lack of belief, disregard and understanding of the Constitution. Thought of the day: "The oppressed should rebel, and they will continue to rebel and raise disturbance until their civil rights are fully restored to them and all partial distinctions, exclusions and incapacitations are removed." --Thomas Jefferson: Notes on Religion, 1776.
