I fully support my brothers and sisters, my fellow militia and Threeper groups as well as those individuals putting their lives into political campaigns against giants and was glad to see them and hear the passion of everyone there. It doesn’t matter how many people were there except to say it was nowhere near enough. In part this may have been due to planning and getting the word out, many people in our communities had no idea it was happening. I did not until close to the end of the week. As I mentioned, there was a lot of passion, there were a lot of dedicated patriots. There was a lot of blame put on the politicians as well… and they deserve some. But more belongs to us. More belongs to those of us that swear by the Constitution…perhaps even carry a “pocket version” (I got another one yesterday, thank you to the groups for passing these out) but have never actually read it except for the 1st and 2nd Amendments, same for the Declaration of Independence. It is on us that we did not demand that Senator Feinstein be thrown to the curb when it became public that her husband “won” the contracts for the first phase of construction of the bullet train. It is on us when we did not run the leadership of the State government out of the state when they sold us a “New” gas tax because they took all of the money from the old gas tax and said they needed it for the drought… where did that money go? Why were other programs not cut to recoup it? Why do the people have to pay a new tax because the State Government can’t manage the money? Don’t get me wrong, this isn’t about Democrats (though they are a big part of the problem right now in California) or Republicans (The do nothing party even when they have the numbers federally), this is about the Constitution and politicians that have become leaders above and separate from the people. Last night I spoke to a young woman at a party and she complained about the cost of living here in California. I asked if she voted for any of the new Bonds, tax increases ect on the ballots. She sheepishly looked at me and said “Well I voted in the presidential part…but the rest I didn’t have time for”. I also asked her if she had ever read the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution…She thought maybe she had in school at some point. I remember school, I don’t think I ever read or was even asked to read either of those documents in entirety…much less what they meant while in school…at least not until college. So is the problem really those politicians? Look, I’m not “blaming” anyone; I’m definitely not downplaying what those patriots did yesterday on their day off. I am saying that we have a lot of work to do above and beyond blaming those in the capital. We need to be changing our education system, if it doesn’t want to change then we need to be educating our children…and how can we do that if we don’t know our history either? Patriots… if it was only the politicians that were to blame they would be tyrants and it would be time to take up arms. We need to own our complacency and change it. We need to demand that the Constitution is followed, not bent, broken or ignored… we need to have the knowledge of the Founder’s and share that wide and far, with the young and the old. We need to teach people that they don’t have to accept this; they do not have to give their consent to be governed… We can change this. Hurrah! To the Patriots that took time yesterday to speak, spread the message and to be there to protect those that showed up. We need to understand that we need to “make time” for these things… otherwise… well otherwise it will be very dark whatever the outcome.
