12/29/17 - 1030hrs Daily report, California State Militia

* Cairo, Egypt: Possibly up to 12 people have been killed as either one or two gunman tried to storm a church frequented by Coptic Christians in a south Cairo suburb. The current report is that at least one policeman is dead. The church immediately locked down and security forces appear to have been able to kill the shooter(s). developing story so expect changes. Further reports as necessary. * NYC, NY: The Bronx apartment fire that has killed 12 Thursday night was started by a child playing with a stove. Thoughts and prayers to the families that lost loved ones in this tragic fire. * South Korea: The accusations of China supplying North Korea with oil are a little more nuanced than most realize. 1) The South Koreans released this report based on US satellite imagery (So they knew and somehow we didn’t?). 2) Linking China directly is much less clear than is being reported. A ship that unloaded 600 tons of refined oil to the North Korean ship was leased by a Taiwanese company. “Taiwan’s Presidential Office said the company that chartered the ship was not incorporated in Taiwan but did not say if the firm’s owner or officials are Taiwanese.” 3) All of this is part of a larger issue that probably has some connection to the Chinese. In fact since October, satellites have caught illegal ship to ship transfers about 30 times. . -Warnings/ Advisories (NOAA) * High Wind Warning: Modoc County -Weather (South Bay/ San Jose) * Sunrise - 0721hrs. No allergy alert from grass, none for weeds * We will have mostly cloudy to partly cloudy days leading into the weekend. It will warm a little for Friday, hitting upper 60s. We will have mid 60’s aside from that. NYE into NYD will be partly cloudy to mostly cloudy, mid 60s. Looks like we have a real rain system coming in on the 2nd possibly bringing showers from next Tuesday into the following weekend… we’ll see. - Ring of Fire * 2.9 SSE of Tres Pinos, 3.8 W of Petrolia, CA. 5.0 SE of Shizunai, Japan. 5.0 W of Monywa, Burma. 5.0 WNW of Mohean, India. 5.1 So Champerico, Guatemala. - Civil Unrest/ Terrorism * New York City, USA vs. London, UK: NYC is ramping up security precautions including snipers, clearing all of the parking garages in the area, adding detectives to high-rise buildings and assigning more trained dogs to detect bombs. London meanwhile is caught with less officers than they have had in the past. They are reporting though that they have the appropriate number of officers for the threat level and the anticipated number of people attending NYE festivities. Let’s hope that the security plans for both cities work well and everyone has a safe NYE. * Taiwan: Tensions are rising between Taiwan and China as China increases rhetoric of Taiwan eventually ending up under the control of China. The liaison head of China’s Taiwan Affairs Office has made multiple remarks referring to the “…economic, political, social, cultural and military superiority of the “motherland,” Taiwan would eventually have no choice in the matter of reunification.” - CA Firearms Laws: * Same tyranny as yesterday …It’s going to get worse… * Here is a link to FPC’s Information on FPC 38: Thought of the day: Read these carefully… “Wherever the real power in a Government lies, there is the danger of oppression. In our Governments, the real power lies in the majority of the Community, and the invasion of private rights is chiefly to be apprehended, not from the acts of Government contrary to the sense of its constituents, but from acts in which the Government is the mere instrument of the major number of the constituents.” ― James Madison, Letters and Other Writings of James Madison Volume 3 "In our country, the lie has become not just a moral category but a pillar of the State" — Alexander Solzhenitsyn "Patriotism means unqualified and unwavering love for the nation, which implies not uncritical eagerness to serve, not support for unjust claims, but frank assessment of its vices and sins, and penitence for them" — Alexander Solzhenitsyn Keep your head on a swivel and stay safe -DeltaWhiskey
