* Washington, DC: President Trump has signed the tax overhaul bill. * Washington, DC: The Department of Justice is reportedly speaking with FBI agents in regards to a probe into the Uranium One deal. Depending on what is found this may open the door for further investigations into Uranium One or a second special counsel to investigate multiple controversies of the Obama administration.. * Bay Area: Freeze and Frost warnings in effect for the area * Chicago, IL: Contrary to really bad tinfoil hat reports, martial law has not been declared in Chicago and UN forces are not enforcing it. Instead of looking at news sources I actually contacted someone I know that is in Chicago and has lived there for quite some time. They have assured me that things are business as usual in the “Windy City”. * Washington, DC: Republicans are pushing for more answers and investigations into the story that the Obama Administration interfered and intentionally slowed Operation Cassandra which was in place to stop Hezbollah’s drug trafficking and money laundering. * Oakland, CA: An arrest in the case of explosives being mailed to residents in the Bay Area including a police officer in Alameda. Federal charges were unsealed against 56 yr old Ross Gordon Laverty who stands accused of mailing an explosive device with intent to kill. More evidence was recovered from his residence. * Southern, CA: - Update – Red Flag Warnings and Wind Advisories are still in place. Most of the fires are being tamed and the containment is increasing significantly. The Thomas Fire by Ventura is still the largest focus at the moment and is 272,800 acres/ 65% contained. The Thomas fire has caused 50,000 people to evacuate and destroyed at least 1,024 structures. It is now the 2nd largest fire in California history. The driver was an Australian citizen of Afghan decent with a history of drug use and mental illness but no known links to terrorism. Police are still investigating to see if there are any connections. * South Korea: The South Korean government is asking the United States to delay the annual military exercises until after the Winter Olympics.
