A system of government in which the state plans and controls the economy and a single, often authoritarian party holds power, claiming to make progress toward a higher social order in which all goods are equally shared by the people. The Marxist-Leninist version of Communist doctrine that advocates the overthrow of capitalism by the revolution of the proletariat. Socialism: Any of various theories or systems of social organization in which the means of producing and distributing goods is owned collectively or by a centralized government that often plans and controls the economy. n. The stage in Marxist-Leninist theory intermediate between capitalism and communism, in which collective ownership of the economy under the dictatorship of the proletariat has not yet been successfully achieved. Read those definitions, yes, the theories themselves are much more in-depth. Note that the goal for both is to destroy capitalism. For both a centralized government, usually authoritarian, takes control. Anyone who argues we already have socialism because of government bailouts or assistance programs and uses that to justify full scale socialism or communism is a fool. If you don’t want to fight against communism and socialism as much as you want to fight against Nazism and tyrants or tyrannical governments then I would suggest you do not understand how dangerous and current this threat is. We should approach both ideologies in the same manner we approach Nazism and religious extremism, with a determination to wipe them out.
