Thought of the day: In answer to CNN – No, gun owners don’t love their guns more than their children. They love their children so much that they believe in armed security to protect them. In fact we love our children so much that we will invest in firearms, train with them and be willing to lay our lives down to protect our children. We understand that unbalanced, unfit, mentally abhorrent and evil people exist in this world. We know that no law, no sign declaring a “gun free zone” will protect them. We think that hiding in bathroom stalls is not the best we can do to protect our children at school and we want the freedom to be able to protect our loved ones when we are in public places. That is why we support HR 38. That is why we will force California to accept “Shall Issue”. That is why we do not give up. Because we believe in our freedom and we are driven not by a desire to compensate for a lack of manly or womanly parts, not by an ego or desire to “play army”. No, we are driven out of a sense and need that exists as free people. That understanding that I am the first responder, not my government. That I am responsible and I want the best array of tools in my tool kit, including firearms to be able to protect my family and innocents around me. It is my God given Right, written down and preserved as a foundational Right of the People of this Country. For that I am responsible.
