The Creek Fire and Wilson Fire have both broken out in Angeles National Forest. The danger will increase for the next 24hrs as it looks like Santa Ana winds are likely to return. 27,000 residents were evacuated overnight. * Oakland, CA: 3000 City of Oakland workers are striking today. Negotiations have been ongoing for 7 months. Today, 3,000 city employees are striking. First responders and emergency personnel are not striking. Washington, DC: The Supreme Court has ruled to allow the full enforcement of President Trump’s travel ban. The court has ruled that the plan can go into full effect even as legal challenges against it move through the legal system. Detroit, Michigan: Rep John Conyers has announced his retirement.
