* Berkeley, CA – Free Speech Week appears to be cancelled. Milo Yiannopoulos, Mike Cernovich and Pamela Geller did show up briefly on campus yesterday. As usual, protestors got out of control forcing a large police presence that included 11 arrests. * Bali, Indonesia – Mt. Agung has shown signs of magma rising and other concerning signs for the volcano. A 7.5 mile buffer zone has been created around the volcano for safety. 50,000 people have fled the Indonesian island due to fear of the volcano. * North Korea – The Rogue Regime has released a propaganda video featuring a US aircraft carrier being destroyed. Just this morning, North Korea’s foreign minister accused President Trump of declaring war on his country. * Antioch, Tennessee – Emanuel Kidega Samson is being charged with murder after killing one and wounding 7 others at a church this past Sunday. He wore a mask and carried two firearms into the church. He had already killed one woman in the parking lot. Samson had actually attended services at the church in the past year to two. The suspect is a legal US resident from Sudan. He appeared to be Christian but his FB page was filled with cryptic comments this past weekend prior to the shooting. He was stopped by an usher named Robert Engle who suffered a minor injury in the scuffle to subdue the shooter. During the scuffle, the suspect shot himself in the chest and Engle used this opportunity to retrieve his own firearm from his vehicle and hold the suspect until police arrived. Additional firearms were found in the suspect’s vehicle by police. A motive has not yet been released. * Iraq – People are voting in a referendum on Kurdish independence in the northern provinces of Iraq. A yes majority would open the way for the Kurdish ethnic group a mandate to begin the process of secession. This would likely encourage Turkish Kurds that share the border to support this. Turkey has sworn to use military power to protect itself from a scenario such as this declaring it a threat to their National Security. * Washington, DC – President Trump approved updated travel restrictions on 8 countries including North Korea. -Warnings/ Advisories * Red Flag Warning: North Bay Mountains, East Bay Hills and the Diablo Range, Central Sacramento Valley including Glenn, Colusa, Yuba, Northern Sutter, Butte County Below 1000 Ft; E Mendocino NF; Eastern Delta; Eastern Portion of Shasta, Trinity NF; Lake County Portion of Lake-Nappa-Sonoma RU; Northern Motherlode From 1000 to 3000 Ft. Thought of the day: I wonder why NFL players don’t do their protest during touchdown celebrations? Would that not be a grand show of solidarity? Two teams coming together after one scored on the other to show support for their cause. Don’t get me wrong, they have the right to protest during the National Anthem and to deal with the consequences that result from those protests whenever they occur. This is why most businesses don’t allow employees to make individual political statements. Because right or wrong, your business is now fully engulfed in the ideals of the protest and not as much in whatever it was you did to make money. Keep your head on a swivel and stay safe -DeltaWhiskey
