09/20/17 - 0929hrs Daily report, California State Militia

* Caribbean Sea: Hurricane Maria made landfall on Puerto Rico as a Category 4 storm. It is one of the strongest storms to hit in generations. Winds of 155mph are expected for 12-24hrs. * Mexico – The devastation from the 7.1 earthquake that hit Mexico yesterday is only starting to come in. Crews are racing to go through rubble and debris in hopes of rescuing survivors. Images of explosions and collapsing buildings have continued to emerge signaling that we still don’t have a full picture of the disaster that struck Mexico. The death toll has passed 200 and will likely climb higher. Our thoughts and prayers are with the first responders, the families and people of Mexico. * CNN – (yes you read that correctly, one more time CNN) announced yesterday that Paul Manafort was wiretapped before and after the election. That there was surveillance of many varieties performed. CNN quickly points out that the President was not under surveillance while running and then after winning the election. They then do note that Manafort often spoke on the phone with Mr. Trump and then President Trump as well Manafort also had an office in Trump Tower where the campaign headquarters for the Trump campaign existed as well as President Trump’s home. I’d say the President was pretty on the spot with that tweet a few months ago…but then I would be editorializing… * California – Another lawsuit will be announced on Wednesday. The state of California will be suing the Trump administration to stop the building of the wall. -Warnings/ Advisories * Beach Hazards Statement: Coastal North Bay Including Point Reyes National Seashore; Northern Monterey Bay; San Francisco; San Francisco Peninsula Coast; Southern Monterey Bay and Big Sur Coast, Coastal Del Norte; Mendocino Coast; Northern Humboldt Coast; Southwestern Humboldt * Wind Advisory: Modoc County, Kern County Mountains; Southeastern Kern County Desert * Freeze Warning: Northeast Siskiyou and Northwest Modoc Counties, Modoc County * Frost Advisory: Northeast Siskiyou and Northwest Modoc Counties, Modoc County, Northeastern Mendocino Interior; Northern Trinity; Northwestern Mendocino Interior; Southern Trinity * Lake Wind Advisory: Greater Lake Tahoe Area -Weather (South Bay/ San Jose) * Sunrise - 0654hrs. The group being called ‘Advanced Persistent Threat 33’ is responsible for breaches of companies in aerospace, defense and petrochemical industries. - CA Firearms Laws: * Same tyranny as yesterday. Thought of the day: California is leading the way again. It is a fantastic example of a nanny state that has spent too much on every social program imaginable and squandered the money it had collected for infrastructure. Local and State government tries to gather more power at every turn blatantly ignoring the Constitution of the United States and the ideals of individual freedom. The government tries to drive commerce and decide what the economy should be by blatantly taxing or outright banning things it does not like. Many of California’s citizens, legal and illegal applaud all of this. In fact they fuel it, drive it, desire to see it taken even further, like eliminating borders, citizenship maybe even property ownership. The tech industry pushes this social experiment as do the other ‘forward’ thinking industries that make up so much of California’s economy. Like lambs being led to the slaughter, they laugh and dance, shout and cry for change without understanding the end game. Eventually the State will run out of money even though it hikes taxes higher and higher. The People will demand more than $15, $20 or $40 an hour. They will demand the heads of the tech companies, they will demand that the State even the wage gap. They will demand an end to private ownership and the State needing money will oblige. After that fails to raise the masses from poverty, the government officials will be the targets. The highways will not be fixed, the schools will not get better, the property taxes will not decline, the city and state taxes will not decline, and the healthcare options will worsen. Nothing is free; someone always has to pay for it. Socialism, communism, Utopian ideals? These are all fairy tales. It doesn’t mean we cannot have a grand society built on the ideals of the Golden Rule. It does not mean we cannot strive to be better people, to erase prejudice, to erase ignorance. We have to work for it. If we don’t get this under control soon, the streets of Venezuela will come to LA, San Francisco and more. Keep your head on a swivel and stay safe -DeltaWhiskey
