09/07/17 - 0829hrs Daily report, California State Militia

* Florida/ Caribbean – Hurricane Irma has made landfall as a category 5 on Barbuda destroying 90% of structures and vehicles there. There are 10 deaths reported so far in relation to Irma. It is sustaining winds around 185mph now. The storm is moving towards the Dominican Republic and Haiti today. It is projected to slam into southern Florida as a Category 4 late Saturday/ early Sunday and move up the eastern coast of the US. There are currently 3 hurricanes in the Atlantic basin – Irma, Jose which is West of Irma and just became a Category 1 and Katia which is just forming with 75mph winds in the Gulf of Mexico. * Silicon Valley, CA – Facebook has admitted to selling $100,000 in ads to a Russian group that created “fake news” during the 2016 election. No, these ads did not support Donald Trump. In fact very few mentioned a candidate at all. They were almost exclusively about divisive social and political issues in American culture such as immigration, gun rights and LGBT issues. The discovery occurred during the investigation of the 2016 election tampering. It is expected that a deeper look into Facebook and other social media sites like Twitter will occur now. * Washington, DC – President Trump announced a surprising deal with Democrats yesterday that would raise the Debt ceiling. The deal was tied to getting aid for Hurricane Harvey victims as well as for likely Irma victims. Republican leadership was apparently blindsided by the move in which the President got tired of the stalemate back and forth fight and decided to strike a deal. * Germany – German Chancellor Angela Merkel had to dodge tomatoes at a political rally. The group causing the disruption was protesting Merkel’s policy of open borders that has led to the arrival of more than 1 million unvetted immigrants into Germany. -Warnings/ Advisories * Special Weather Statement: Strong thunderstorms, 30mph winds and hail possible - Coastal Del Norte; Del Norte Interior, Western Siskiyou County Flash Flood Watch: South Central Siskiyou County; Western Siskiyou County * Red Flag Warning: Hupa; Lower Middle Klamath; Trinity; Upper Smith; Van Duzen, Mad River; W Mendocino NF, E Mendocino Unit, Western Lassen, Eastern Plumas, Eastern Sierra, Eastern Nevada Counties, Burney Basin and Northeast Plateau in Shasta County Including Northwest Lassen NF north of Lassen NP; E Mendocino NF; Eastern Portion of Shasta, Trinity NF; Northern Sacramento Valley to Southern Tehama County Line Below 1000 Ft; Northern Sierra Foothills from 1000 to 3000 Ft.
