08/30/17 - 0921hrs Daily report, California State Militia

* Texas Coast – UPDATE - Houston and many other areas along the coast are suffering from devastating flooding in the remnants of Hurricane Harvey. Harvey, now a Tropical Storm, is strengthening again and could drop another 50 inches of rain as it slowly moves out of the area. 20 are reported dead so far while thousands are being rescued. The Governor has activated all of the Texas National Guard to help with those rescues. As well, in the spirit of being American, hundreds of volunteers and civilians have arrived with boats like the Cajun Navy and supplies to help their fellow neighbors. WANT TO HELP? Donate blood; they need O- & O+. Research the charities there on the ground and donate cash. Here are a few: , , Redcross and Salvation Army are also choices. * Bay Area – An Anti-Communist FB group has threatened to block traffic on the Golden Gate Bridge today. Supposedly they want to hold the bridge until SF City managers agree to label Antifa as a terrorist organization. Currently there is no word that this is actually happening. * Bay Area/ Many parts of California – Temperatures are going to soar into the 100’s by Friday. Be aware of the extreme heat and take care of small children, animals and elders. Drink lots of water. * Military – The USS John Paul Jones successfully launched an interceptor missile to eliminate a mid-range ballistic missile in a test near Hawaii. This follows not only the launch by North Korea of a ballistic missile over Japan earlier in the week but also a failed test back in June where the interceptor did not stop the ballistic missile. “We are working closely with the fleet to develop this important new capability, and this was a key milestone in giving our Aegis BMD ships an enhanced capability to defeat ballistic missiles in their terminal phase,” MDA Director Lt. Gen. Sam Greaves said in a statement. “We will continue developing ballistic missile defense technologies to stay ahead of the threat as it evolves.” * North Korea – Meanwhile the rogue nation claims that the missile fired over Japan was just the first step in military operations in the Pacific. -Warnings/ Advisories * Excessive Heat Warning: Indian Wells Valley; Southeastern Kern County Desert, Burney Basin, Eastern Shasta County; Carquinez Strait and Delta; Central Sacramento Valley; Clear Lake, Southern Lake County; Motherlode; Mountains Southwestern Shasta County to Northern Lake County; Northeast Foothills, Sacramento Valley; Northern Sacramento Valley; Northern San Joaquin Valley; Shasta Lake Area, Northern Shasta County; Southern Sacramento Valley; West Slope Northern Sierra Nevada; Western Plumas County, Lassen Park, Cadiz Basin; Death Valley National Park; Eastern Mojave Desert, Including the Mojave National Preserve; Morongo Basin; San Bernardino County-Upper Colorado River Valley; Western Mojave Desert, San Bernardino and Riverside County Valleys-The Inland Empire, San Diego County Inland Valleys, Santa Ana Mountains and Foothills, Apple and Lucerne Valleys, Coachella Valley; San Diego County Deserts; San Gorgonio Pass Near Banning, Orange County Inland, Los Angeles County Mountains excluding the Santa Monica Range; San Luis Obispo County Mountains; Santa Barbara County Mountains; Ventura County Mountains, Antelope Valley * Heat Advisory: East-Central San Joaquin Valley; Mariposa, Madera, and Fresno County Foothills; Southeastern San Joaquin Valley; Southwestern San Joaquin Valley; Tulare County Foothills; West-Central San Joaquin Valley, Kern County Mountains, San Diego County Coastal Areas, Riverside County Mountains; San Bernardino County Mountains; San Diego County Mountains, Orange County Coastal, Los Angeles County Coast including Downtown Los Angeles * Fire weather watch: Lower Middle Klamath; Upper Smith * Red Flag Warning: Modoc County Except for the Surprise Valley * Dense Smoke Advisory: Western Siskiyou County -Weather (South Bay/ San Jose) * Sunrise - 0635hrs. Thought of the day: Was Hurricane Harvey a Democratic plot to destroy President Trump? Did the GOP intentionally set up Houston to fail to make the Dems look bad? Is the media just playing us to fight one another? It was a hurricane, a force of nature. The fact that there are as many stories based on the political allegiance of one group or another attached to anything with the hurricane literally shows that we are being played. Support the Cajun Navy, support the individuals, remember that these are Our neighbors even though they are miles and states away. Take a moment to tell the press you don’t give a shit which shoes were worn but you are happy that people are taking care of people. Keep your head on a swivel and stay safe -DeltaWhiskey
